UPDATED: Fire Crews from Wicomico & Sussex Battle Early Morning Barn Fire


UPDATED 12/31:  A fire early Sunday morning on Morris Leonard Road in Parsonsburg is under investigation by the Maryland State Fire Marshal’s office. Firefighters were called just after 3:30am and found a wood frame storage building on fire. Officials say the fire was discovered by a passerby and damage is estimated at $120,000. Fire companies from Wicomico and Sussex Counties helped Parsonsburg firefighters battle the blaze.


An early morning for firefighters from Wicomico and Sussex Counties after they were called for a barn fire on Morris Leonard Road.  The call went out just after 3:30 and crews arriving on the scene found the barn on the ground.  Crews from Pittsville, Delmar, Willards, Salisbury, Gumboro and Powellville assisted Parsonsburg Fire Company.  Firefighters were on the scene for over two hours.
