Fire Damages Home in Rehoboth Beach Yacht and Country Club

A large fire that occurred on Blackpool Road in the Rehoboth Beach Yacht and Country Club late last night–Wednesday May 20th, is under investigation. Firefighters arrived on the scene at about 10:45. Fire was observed on the outside extending into the first and second floor that quickly spread into the large open concept home. A house sitter with dogs had self-extricated prior to the fire arrival. The State Fire Marshal’s office was called to the scene to investigate and there were no injuries.聽 Rehoboth Beach units received assistance on scene from the Lewes Fire Department, Bethany Beach Fire Company, Indian River Fire Company, Memorial Fire Company, Milton Fire Department and Sussex County EMS.聽 Millsboro Fire Company provided coverage to the area.
