Fire Near Berlin – Accidental

A residential structure fire near Berlin Monday night has been determined to be accidental – possibly unattended cooking in a garage bedroom. The Worcester County Fire Marshal investigated the fire on Woodlawn Road which broke out just after 5:30pm. Berlin Volunteer firefighters found fire in the garage portion of the home that had been converted to a bedroom. An occupant of the home received minor burns but refused EMS treatment.
