Firefighters Battle Blaze at Bridgeville Area Chicken House

Greenwood firefighters were called for a chicken house fire on Blanchard Road near Bridgeville just before 9 Monday night. Crews arriving at the scene found fire showing through the roof with a partial roof collapse. Firefighters from Sussex and Kent Counties were assisted by crews from Caroline County as well and they battled the blaze for over 2 and a half hours.
The State Fire Marshal is investigating.
