Four People Arrested on Drug Charges in Selbyville

Delaware State Police say they have arrested four suspects in connection with the sale of illegal drugs.

Troopers arrested 51-year-old Keith Handy of Selbyville, 19-year-old Jayquan Bland of Laurel, 55-year-old Herbert Griffin of Selbyvile and 23-year-old Devine Lynch of Salisbury. Their arrests stemmed from reports of suspicious activity at a home in the 37000 block of Washington Avenue in Selbyville. The men were loitering on a property that had been the shut down by the State of Delaware in2018 for prior drug related crimes, with no trespassing signs posted. Troopers uncovered 97 bags of heroin and over 1,600 dollars in suspected drug proceeds.

Bland was charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, conspiracy in the second degree, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest and tampering with evidence. Bland was committed to SCI as well on 11,500 dollars secured bond.

Griffin was charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, conspiracy in the second degree, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting arrest. He was committed to SCI on 10,500 dollars secured bond.

Lynch was charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, conspiracy in the second degree, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting arrest. He was committed to SCI on 10,500 dollars secured bond as well.
