The argument escalated and became physical, according to police. Anderson’s wife tried to intervene when she was struck by her husband with a car jack.

There were two children present in the residence during the incident. The victim did not sustain any injuries. Anderson’s wife sustained minor injuries and declined medical treatment at the scene, police said.

Anderson fled the residence in a vehicle before police arrived. He was later located outside in the area of the 30000 block of E. Lagoon Road in Dagsboro.

A computer inquiry revealed Anderson did not have a valid driver’s license.

Anderson was taken into custody and charged with Possession of a Deadly Weapon During the Commission of a Felony, Assault Second Degree, Endangering the Welfare of a Child (2 counts), Offensive Touching, and Driving Without a Valid License. He was arraigned and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on $72,020 cash only bond.
