Frankford Man Charged with Rape

Bethany Beach Police have arrested a Frankford man in connection with a rape that occurred within town limits on Sunday, June 1^st. Police were tipped to the incident through the South Coastal Health Campus in Millville and investigation led them to 35 year old Mark Buckheit, Jr. of Frankford who was arrested Wednesday and charged with the following offenses:

• 2^nd degree rape without consent (Class B Felony)
• 3^rd degree unlawful sexual contact (Class A Misdemeanor)

Buckheit was arraigned in Justice of Peace Court #2, where he was also issued a no contact order with the victim.

Buckheit is being held at SCI in default of a $21,000 secured bond.
