Friday Morning Chicken House Fire in Delmar – Accidental

A chicken house fire Friday morning in Delmar has been ruled accidental by the Delaware State Fire Marshal.  Delmar Fire crews were called just after 7am to the chicken house on Delmar Road and found smoke and flames coming from the structure.  Several other companies provided aid and cover.  Officials say the fire was caused by an electrical malfunction on the inside of the building.  Damage is estimated at $5000.
