Georgetown man tried to strangle pregnant ex-girlfriend, police say
A Georgetown man was arrested after police say he tried to strangle his pregnant ex-girlfriend.
According to the Georgetown Police Department, during the early morning hours of Thursday, October 31, officers were contacted by a 21-year-old victim who stated she was involved in a physical altercation at her home with her ex-boyfriend, 21-year-old Franky Sandoval-Chilel.
The victim told police she was choked by Sandoval-Chilel and both she, and her unborn child, were threatened.
The victim sustained injuries which were non-life threatening, according to police.
Franky Sandoval-Chilel was charged with Strangulation, Terroristic Threatening, and Assault 2nd degree. He was arraigned and committed to Sussex Correctional Institute in lieu of $10,000 secured bond.
