Georgetown Police Arrest Teen for Vehicle Break-ins – Looking for 2nd Suspect


A 17 year old from Lawson Road has been arrested by Georgetown Police in connection with a string of vehicle burglaries and property damage incidents. Police spotted the suspect running off on foot and was arrested after a brief chase. Investigation determined that the teen and another unidentified suspect are responsible for burglarizing or damaging 22 vehicles across 2 wards in town. Many incidents involved breaking vehicle windows to remove property.

The 17 year old is charged with multiple counts of 3rd degree burglary, 7 counts of theft under $1500 and 19 counts of criminal mischief under $1000 and resisting arrest.
