Governor Meyer Proclaims Senate Session To Confirm Health Secretary And Other Appointments

Governor Matt Meyer today proclaimed an extraordinary session of the Delaware Senate on Wednesday, October 15, during which senators will consider the Governor’s nominee for the Secretary of the Delaware Department of Health and Social Services, Christen Linke Young. Governor Meyer referred to her as one of the nation’s most experienced health policy leaders. The Senate will also consider multiple appointments and reappointments for Boards, including the Delaware Harness Racing Commission, the University of Delaware Board of Trustees, the Board of Parole, the Merit Employee Relations Board, and the Water Infrastructure Advisory Council.
