Governor Moore Launches Free Adult Vaccine Program to Expand Immunization Access for Uninsured and Underinsured Marylanders
November 20, 2025/
Governor Wes Moore today announced a first-of-its kind adult vaccine program to expand access to聽 immunizations for Maryland residents who are uninsured and underinsured. Administered by the Maryland Department of Health, the program will provide recommended vaccines for free to Marylanders aged 19 and older at local health departments across the state. The program, made possible through $2.8 million allocated in partnership with the Maryland General Assembly, will allow local health departments to provide state-purchased vaccines to uninsured and underinsured adults to reduce the burden of vaccine-preventable diseases such as COVID-19, influenza, measles, pneumonia, respiratory syncytial virus, and shingles.聽
