Harbeson Man Arrested for Burglary a IRVFC in Oak Orchard

An investigation into a burglary at the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company station on Oak Orchard Road on June 4th led Delaware State Police to arrest a 52 year old Harbeson man. Police learned that an unknown white male entered the fire station through an unsecured door – then damaged an office door, stole property and left the scene. Investigation led police to identify Eugene Marple, who was arrested Thursday. Marple is not a member of the fire company. He is charged with the following offenses:

  • Burglary 3rd Degree (Felony)
  • Theft under $1,500
  • Criminal Mischief under $1,000

Marple was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2, and released on a $3,500.
