Harrington Man Arrested in Connection to Motor Vehicle Thefts


An 18-year-old from Harrington–Douglas Moore– has been arrested and a second suspect is still not known after a stolen vehicle was found set on fire and another vehicle theft was attempted at Milford Movies 9 on May 20th. The Milford Police Department began investigating both incidents, with the arson case referred to the State Fire Marshal鈥檚 Office. Moore was taken into custody on May 22nd without incident and charged with multiple felonies, including theft of a motor vehicle, attempted theft, and conspiracy. Despite a request for secured bail, he was released on $7,000 unsecured bail and is scheduled for a future court appearance.

Moore had a presentment through the Justice of the Peace Court 2, where he was released on $7,000 unsecured bail after investigators requested a secured bail be issued. Moore will appear at a later date in the Kent County Court of Common Pleas for a preliminary hearing.
