Headlight Out Leads To Man’s Arrest on Drugs-Weapons Charges

A traffic stop in Milford has resulted in the arrest of a Magnolia man on drugs-and-weapons related charges.

Delaware State Police said troopers saw a vehicle traveling with a headlight out on Shawnee Road early Monday morning. A smell of marijuana led to an investigation.

According to police, a search of the vehicle turned up a loaded handgun, clips, ammunition, drug paraphernalia and about 48-grams of marijuana.

24-year-old Aerza Smith was charged with several crimes, including possession of a firearm by a person prohibited, other weapons offenses and possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.
