House Fire in Linkwood, Dorchester County–Accidental

A fire that occurred late yesterday afternoon at a house on Ocean Gateway, Linkwood, in Dorchester County has been ruled accidental. According to the Maryland Office of the State Fire Marshal, a failure in the bathroom exhaust fan caused the blaze. The occupants were home when the fire occurred. The activation of smoke alarms in the residence alerted them. 聽The occupants were able to safely evacuate the home, and the American Red Cross is assisting them. The blaze caused over $50,000 in damage.
