House Fire in Linkwood, Dorchester County–Accidental

A fire that occurred late yesterday afternoon at a house on Ocean Gateway, Linkwood, in Dorchester County has been ruled accidental. According to the Maryland Office of the State Fire Marshal, a failure in the bathroom exhaust fan caused the blaze. The occupants were home when the fire occurred. The activation of smoke alarms in the residence alerted them. Ā The occupants were able to safely evacuate the home, and the American Red Cross is assisting them. The blaze caused over $50,000 in damage.
