Hunter Seefried Sentenced in Capitol Breach to 24 Months in Prison

The Seefrieds – father and son from Laurel – were both found guilty on June 15th for illegally entering the Capitol on January 6, 2021. The Seefrieds were among the first to enter the Capitol during the breach.

On Monday, in the District of Columbia, 24 year old Hunter Seefried was sentenced to 24 months in prison on felony and misdemeanor charges. When he is released, Hunter Seefried will be placed on one year of supervised release and he must pay $2000 in restitution.

Kevin Seefried was photographed inside the Capitol holding a Confederate flag and he along with Hunter were part of a group that verbally confronted several US Capitol Police officers near the entrance to the Senate Chambers. The 53 year old Seefried will be sentenced on January 20, 2023.
