UPDATE: Woman Turns Herself In After Hit-and-Run Involving ICE Agent

UPDATE — 02/05/26: Wicomico County Sheriff Mike Lewis says a woman has turned herself in following a hit-and-run crash in Salisbury that involved a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent. The incident occurred Tuesday when a passing vehicle struck the agent. Deputies extensively interviewed the woman, reviewed video evidence, and examined her cell phone as part of the investigation. She has been released for now, but the sheriff’s office says they do anticipate formal charges to be filed as the investigation moves forward. Officials do not believe the agent was targeted because of his employment, and Sheriff Lewis says the crash appears to be the result of negligence rather than malicious intent.
