Improved Cell Coverage Coming to the Bivalve Area, Wicomico County
Cell coverage for local residents, first responders, and businesses in and around the Bivalve area in Wicomico County A new communications tower will be installed as part of a tower lease agreement with Cellco Partnership d/b/a Verizon Wireless. The Wicomico County Council approved Resolution 53-2025, authorizing the lease agreement. County official say this is a critical step forward in expanding and strengthening wireless service on the westside of the county. The approval marks the successful culmination of two years of work by the Executive Office, which has led efforts to address connectivity concerns in underserved parts of the county. With the resolution now approved, Wicomico County will move forward with implementing the lease and coordinating with Verizon Wireless on the tower鈥檚 construction timeline.
