Juvenile Charged After Stolen Vehicle Crash in Seaford


A juvenile has been arrested in connection with a stolen vehicle and crash in Seaford on March 24th. Police say a stolen black Cadillac reported at Planet Fitness around 8:10 p.m. was later involved in a rollover crash near Bridgeville Highway and Sussex Highway after failing to navigate a curve. The driver fled the scene on foot. Around 9:34 p.m., a rideshare driver reported dropping off a passenger near Middleford Road and Old Furnace Road who admitted to being in a crash involving a stolen vehicle. Officers located a juvenile matching the description and took them into custody without incident. The juvenile faces multiple charges, including felony motor vehicle theft and several traffic violations, and was released to a parent pending Family Court arraignment.

• Theft of a motor vehicle (Felony G)
• Theft under $1500 (Misdemeanor A)
• Criminal Mischief Over $1000 (Misdemeanor A)
• Leaving the Scene of a Property Collision Accident
• Failure to Provide Information at Collision Scene
• Driving Without a Valid License
• Driving at Unreasonable or Imprudent Speed
• Inattentive Driving
