Kent County Firefighter Charged with Felony Theft

A member of the Little Creek Volunteer Fire Company has been charged with felony theft and unlawful use of a credit card. Delaware State Police were called to the fire company in Leipsic for a report of a theft. Fire company officials discovered over $3600 in unauthorized charges on a fire company credit card. The investigation led troopers to 30 year old Raheim Clifton of Dover, who is a member of the fire company and used the credit card for personal expenses.
Clifton turned himself in to police at Troop 3 on Sunday – he was charged with the crimes listed below:
- Theft, $1,500 or More (Felony)
- Unlawful Use of Payment Card Over $1,500 (Felony)
- Unlawful Use of Payment Card Under $1,500 ā 2 counts
Clifton was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 7, and released on his own recognizance.Ā
He is no longer a member of the Little Creek VFC.
