A Laurel man faces drug charges after a traffic stop in Dagsboro Friday. Delaware State Police spotted a Trailblazer run a stop sign at Power Plant Road and East Diamond Street near Dagsboro. After stopping the SUV they contacted the driver, 24 year old Devontay Jones of Laurel, and smelled marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. A search of the vehicle and Jones turned up 279 baggies of heroin and over $1770 in cash. Jones was arrested and charged with a variety of drug and traffic offenses. He’s being held at SCI in default of an over $35,000 secured bail.
