Laurel Police Investigating Stabbing Incident

Laurel Police are investigating a stabbing that occurred yesterday. At shortly before 7:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Little Creek apartment complex for a fight in progress. While on scene officers were sent to another location on Center Street for a man who was seriously injured. The victim suffered from a single stab wound to his abdomen. Officers rendered medical aid until EMS arrived to transport the victim for medical treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The person who stabbed the victim is still at large, however, according to the preliminary investigation, this incident was not a random act of violence therefore there is no perceived threat to the general public at this time.
