Legislation to Increase Penalties for Unlawful Possession of Firearms Introduced
Legislation that will increase penalties including time in prison, for those possessing harmful weapons during the commission of a felony has been introduced in the Delaware General Assembly. Senate Bill 203 is sponsored by Republican Senator Anthony Delcollo and has bipartisan support. This measure will also increase the penalties imposed in HB 36 which has already been passed by the General Assembly. The bill has been assigned to the Senate Judicial & Community Affairs Committee.
