Lewes Junction Railroad & Bridge Assoc. to Ring in the Nation’s 250th Birthday on January 1st

The Lewes Junction Railroad and Bridge Association will ring in the nation’s 250th birthday celebration on January 1st from 10am to 2pm. The actual bell belonging to the group’s 1913 Pennsylvania Railroad steam engine will be put in place – the engine is on the railroad track next to the Lewes Public Library.Ā 

For $5 – neighbors, churches and others can ring the historic bell ā€“ the funds raised will support the on-going work to cosmetically restore the steam locomotive.

Kids can ring the bell for free.
