ORIGINAL STORY – 11/03/25 – A Lewes man has been arrested following a three-vehicle crash Friday afternoon on Hollymount Road in Harbeson. Preliminary investigation by Delaware State Police shows a Cadillac driven by 64 year old Timothy Wolak or Lewes was eastbound near Scottie Run and a Durango and Charger were westbound. Police say the Cadillac crossed the center line and sideswiped the Durango and struck the front of the Charger. The driver of the Charger, a 26 year old female from Laurel, was flown to an area hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the Durango did not report any injuries. As police spoke with Wolak they saw signs of impairment. He was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries and a blood search warrant was gotten. On release from the hospital, Wolak turned himself in at Troop 7 on November 3, 2025. He was charged with the below listed offenses:
- Vehicular Assault 1st Degree (Felony)
- Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol
- Related Traffic Offenses
Wolak was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 3, and released on a $3,101 unsecured bond.
Indian River VFC, Sussex County Paramedics and Mid-Sussex Rescue assisted along with DSP Aviation.
