Lewes Woman Charged with 6th Offense DUI

A Lewes woman was arrested after she was found driving under the influence Thursday night.  Police were called for an accident on Conley Chapel Road just after 9:30pm where they found a GMC Sierra went off the roadway and overturned.  Police smelled alcohol coming from the driver, 56 year old Cheryl Surber of Lewes.  She was arrested and a computer check showed Surber had five previous DUI convictions.  She is charged with 6^th offense DUI and driving while suspended or revoked.  She is being held on a cash only bond.
