Lisa Blunt Rochester Questions FAA Representative in Senate Commitee Hearing Regarding Aviation-Related issues
Senator Lisa Blunt Rochester questioned FAA officials during today’s Senate Commerce Committee hearing on aviation safety, air traffic, and technology, held one year after the FAA Reauthorization.
She added that other significant variables that drive this crisis, such as the lack of a robust and well-supported aviation workforce. Senator Blunt Rochester聽asked Franklin McIntosh, deputy chief of the FAA鈥檚 Air Traffic Organization, about workforce planning and skills assessment, and he says the plan is to review the air traffic controls assessment and improve the academy success rate.

He says the air traffic skills assessment basically judges a candidate’s cognitive skills and ability to multitask as an air traffic controller.
