Delaware State Police said Thursday night that there are no signs of foul play in connection with the death of a man whose body was found in a ditch near a burning vehicle.
The 54-year-old Seaford man was pronounced dead at the scene early Wednesday morning, where troopers responded to reports of a vehicle fire in the10,000-block of Airport Road. The man’s body was in a ditch near the vehicle, which was engulfed in flames.
The body was turned over to the Division of Forensic Science for an autopsy.
Since there were no signs of foul play, Delaware State Police said no more information will be provided due to the ‘sensitivity of this case.’

The death of a 54-year-old man near the scene of a vehicle fire is under investigation.
According to Delaware State Police, troopers responded to the reported vehicle fire in the 10,000-block of Airport Road near Seaford Wednesday morning. A vehicle was found fully engulfed in flames, and the man’s body was found in a nearby ditch. He was dead at the scene.
The name of the man who died has not been released. The Division of Forensic Science will conduct an autopsy to determine cause and manner of death.
