Man sentenced to life in prison after machete attack

A man sentenced to life in Prison for a brutal machete attack. In May 2016, Gregory Sterling of Eden attacked a victim with a machete, threatening to rob and kill them. A Good Samaritan driving by stopped and helped the victim escape; they were taken to PRMC with life threatening injuries. Fruitland police later located Sterling and found $300 of bloodied money on him. Sterling was found guilty of attempted 1^st degree murder and sentenced to life in prison.
