Mardela Springs Man Sentenced on Drug Charges

A Mardela Springs man has been sentenced on drug charges. Court officials say 37 year old Anthony Conway pleaded guilty in the Circuit Court for Wicomico County on April 25^th to 1 count each of possession of a large amount of cocaine and manufacturing cocaine and 2 counts of conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute cocaine.

The plea was accepted an Senior Judge Daniel Long sentenced Conway to 40 years in prison with all but 20 years suspended. Five years is a mandatory minimum sentence.

Officials say the charges stem from a lengthy investigation over several months – and resulted in multiple arrests.
