Marion Station Fire Thursday – Accidental

A fire Thursday evening in Marion Station has been ruled accidental by the Maryland State Fire Marshal’s office. Marion Station firefighters were called to Charles Cannon Road around 7pm where they found fire in a one story home with a detached garage. The fire was discovered by the occupants of the Somerset County home.

Investigation by the Fire Marshal’s office shows the fire began in the detached garage and was caused by a wood stove. Damage is estimated at $35,000.
