Maryland’s Senators visit Salisbury for groundbreaking ceremony

Maryland’s Senators making an appearance in Salisbury today. Senators Ben Cardin and Chris Van Hollen will join Mayor Jake Day and other officials for a groundbreaking ceremony of the Riverwalk Amphitheatre. The City is constructing the new venue as part of its duties to host the National Folk Festival for the next three years. Last month Maryland Governor Larry Hogan authorizing half a million dollars in state revitalization funding to help Salisbury foot the bill for the Riverwalk Amphitheatre. Construction will begin in the next few weeks, and should be wrapped up in time for the mid-September festival.
