Maryland DOJ Indict 3 on Federal Sex Trafficking & Kidnapping Charges

Three Marylanders have been indicted of federal sex trafficking and kidnapping charges.  Charged in the indictment are 39 year old Lakeya Aldridge and 27 year old Kevonne Murphy both of Federalsburg and 30 year old Joshua Lankford of Manchester, Maryland in Carroll County.  According to court papers, in October of 2018 the three recruited an adult female victim to engage in commercial sex acts for their financial benefit.  The indictment says that they rented hotel rooms for the victim to engage I sex acts, but also took her to other locations – including across state lines – the internet and social media were also used to solicit potential customers.
