Maryland extends court closure to June over coronavirus pandemic

The State of Maryland has extended the closure of its court facilities until June.

A series of new orders concerning the courts and the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic were announced Tuesday by Maryland Court of Appeals Judge Mary Ellen Barbera. 

Among the new orders was additional guidance concerning the release of incarcerated and imprisoned individuals in the State of Maryland.

An extension on the closure of court facilities was ordered until June 5, 2020.
