Maryland House of Delegates passes budget proposal

Maryland’s House of Delegates approves a $44.4 billion budget yesterday. The Baltimore Sun reporting the proposed budget sailed through easily, by a vote of 125-12. A secondary proposal to put use revenue increases from the federal tax law change for education spending also got through the House. The State Senate also passed their versions of the budget and companion. Next week both chambers will meet to reconcile minor differences and set the final state budget.
