Maryland Natural Resources bust illegal oystering in Somerset County

Maryland Natural Resources Police officers using radar, a helicopter, and patrol boats to stop illegal oystering in Somerset County. According to the agency, surveillance officers observed a vessel inside the Manokin River Oyster Sanctuary; the agency’s helicopter then took to the skies to confirm the boat was actively dredging and had oysters on deck. A patrol boat met the ship dockside, charging a father and son with over 250 counts of illegally harvesting oysters.
