Maryland’s General Assembly in mourning after the sudden death over the weekend of State Senator Wayne Norman. Sen. Norman was a Republican representing Cecil and Harford Counties, and died suddenly on Sunday at his home. Governor Larry Hogan called Norman a dedicated public servant, who served his constituents for decades on both the local and state levels. The governor has ordered Maryland flags be flown at half-staff in Norman’s honor, beginning immediately and lasting through the day of his internment, which has yet to be set. Sen. Norman is survived by his wife, their two children, and a granddaughter.
