MD State Fire Marshal Investigating House Fire in Federalsburg

Firefighters in Federalsburg were called for a structure fire Saturday morning around 5am. Crews arriving at the scene on West Central Avenue found a single family home with fire at the rear of the home. Investigators say a smoke alarm was present and activated and that the fire began in a storage room or office. The cause has not been determined and is under investigation.

The State Fire Marshal asks anyone with information to contact the Upper Eastern Regional Office at 410-819-3500.

Damage is estimated at $95,000.
