MDOT Begins Replacement of Route 364 Bridge Near Pocomoke City

The Maryland Department of Transportation has announced the beginning of a project that will replace the Maryland 364 Dividing Creek Bridge at the Somerset-Worcester County line.

The project, expected to cost 2.3 million dollars will lead to the closure of the existing bridge and a detour of MD 364 beginning on Thursday, June 13. The project is expected to be complete in time for the 2019-2020 school year this fall.

The new structure, a 55-feet long bridge with 13-foot wide travel lanes and 3-foot wide shoulders for bicycle access will take ten weeks for completion. The detour routes will include U.S. 13, U.S. 113, MD 756 and MD 12. Approximately 1,050 cars travel across the Dividing Creek Bridge each day.
