MDOT Info Regarding Toll Debt Text Scams

Phony texts continue to circulate claiming recipients have debt to pay for using a toll road. The Maryland Department of Transportation in a statement makes clear that Maryland does NOT send texts for toll debt. Officials say this scam seeks to obtain your credit card numbers, user names & passwords. To report these scam texts to FBI, go to http://ic3.gov.
