MERR Needs Your Help with Annual Dolphin Count

the-charlie-kirk-show

How would you like to sit on the beach for a couple of hours – and help out the MERR Institute by counting dolphins? The Marine Education, Research and Rehabilitation Institute is looking for counters to sit at predesignated points from Fenwick Island to Woodland Beach on Saturday, July 20 from 9 to 11am. Volunteers will collect and analyze data on the local dolphin population on our coastal beaches – and even a few inland locations. The data collected will help to determine the population stability of the Atlantic Bottlenose dolphins in this region and will be compared to past numbers locally and regionally. If you’d like to take part – contact the MERR Institute at 302-228-5029.
