Milford Man Charged with Attempted Murder
January 22, 2024/
An incident just before 7 Sunday morning at Dover Behavioral Health ended with 29 year old Derek Chilicas of Milford arrested on charges of attempted murder. Dover Police found EMS performing life saving measures on a 64 year old Georgetown man who was taken to Bayhealth Kent Campus and remains in critical condition. Police learned that Chilicas assaulted the victim causing serious injuries to his upper body.
Chilicas faces the following charges:
- Attempted Murder First Degree
- Strangulation
- Possession of a Deadly Weapon During the Commission of a Felony
Chilicas was committed to SCI on $200,000 cash bail.
