Milford Man Critical after Struck by Van Near Georgetown

A Milford man is in critical condition at Christiana Hospital after he was struck by a vehicle on Route 9 in the area of Tyndall Road just after 9pm.  Delaware State Police say the 30 year old man was walking in the westbound lane when he was struck by a work van – which did not stop.  A witness behind the van called 9-1-1 and gave a description of the vehicle, which was spotted by a Trooper on patrol on Taylor Mill Road.  There was damage to the van that connected it to the crash.  The driver is a 25 year old man from Salisbury, who was driving without a license.
