Millsboro Man Arrested for Robbery in Georgetown

A Millsboro man has been arrested after a robbery Friday afternoon.  Georgetown Police were called for a fight on South Bedford Street but learned that it was actually a robbery and the suspect ran off on foot.  Police spotted a person matching the suspect’s description and arrested them.  Police learned the victim was giving 59 year old Joseph Selby a ride to Georgetown when Selby demanded money from the victim.  The victim stopped and got out of the vehicle – and Selby began to assault and choke the victim and grabbed his wallet.  Selby is charged with 2nd degree robbery and strangulation and is being held at SCI in default of $10,000 cash bond.
