Millsboro Man Dead in Wednesday Evening Crash in Lewes

Delaware State Police are investigating after a single vehicle crash on John J. Williams Highway in Lewes, claiming the life of the sole occupant.

Troopers say the crash happened shortly after 7 p.m. A 67-year-old Millsboro man was operating a Jeep Wrangler traveling westbound, when he lost control shortly after crossing the Love Bridge, striking a curb and then hitting an unoccupied residence.

The man was wearing a seatbelt, but was transported to Beebe Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. Police say their investigation indicates the man may have suffered a medical condition at the time of the crash. His identity will be released pending notification of next of kin. Delaware State Police continue their investigation.
