Minor Injuries in DSP Trooper-Involved Crash Sunday Afternoon in Georgetown


A crash last Sunday, March 1st involving a Delaware State Trooper in Georgetown resulted in one minor injury. Delaware State Police say around 2:30pm a fully marked Tahoe was eastbound on Route 404 approaching Route 113 with its emergency equipment activated. An Express van was northbound on Route 113 with a green light. Police say the trooper attempted to cross the northbound lanes and collided with the driver’s side front of the van.

The 46 year old driver of the van from Lincoln had soreness to his hand, but refused to go to the hospital. Neither the trooper or the back seat passenger was injured.

No charges have been filed.
