More Than 200 Criminal Charges Filed in Dorchester County Animal Cruelty Case
The Dorchester County Sheriff鈥檚 Office says criminal charges have now been filed in an ongoing animal neglect investigation, following what officials describe as extensive work conducted behind the scenes in coordination with prosecutors and veterinary experts. Authorities say investigative and legal requirements limited what information could be publicly released earlier, but emphasized that the case has remained active throughout. As a result of the investigation,聽Deborah Kay Naylor and Thomas Henry Naylor face more than 200 combined charges, including felony aggravated animal cruelty and multiple misdemeanor animal cruelty counts, stemming from allegations involving the deaths and mistreatment of numerous animals, including horses, dogs, and goats; the case remains under prosecution and investigation.
