MSP Identify Man Found Dead in Church Creek in Dorchester County; Investigation Continues
UPDATED – 08/28/26 – Maryland State Police have identified the man who was found in the phragmites along Golden Hill Road in Church Creek in Dorchester County on August 15th as 35 year old Timothy David Wolfe. Deputies from the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office say the body was found by a passerby who called police. At the request of the Sheriff’s Office, the Maryland State Police Homicide Unit has taken the lead in the investigation. Investigators are still waiting for autopsy results to determine the cause and manner of death

ORIGINAL STORY – 08/24/26 – Maryland State Police continue to investigate the death of man whose body was found in the phragmites in the area of Golden Hill Road in Church Creek in Dorchester County. Preliminary investigation indicates that a passerby located the body just before 2pm on August 15ht and called police. The circumstances surrounding the death of the unidentified man remain under investigation. Police are waiting on autopsy results to determine the cause and manner of death.
